CANSKATE IS THE LEARN-TO-SKATE PROGRAM IN WHICH ALL OTHERS ARE MEASURED AGAINST

CanSkate offers the best curriculum in Canada. Our flagship learn-to-skate program has taught millions of Canadians to reach their recreational and competitive goals on the ice.

The CanSkate program is geared to beginners of all ages; children, adults, newcomers to Canada, and athletes with a disability (AWAD). Whether you are looking to improve basic skating skills for figure skating,  hockey, ringette or speed skating, or wish to skate for recreation, fitness, or fun, CanSkate will get you there.

Conducted in a fun, friendly environment, the CanSkate program showcases a comprehensive series of balance, control, and agility skills, using a nationally tested and proven curriculum that supports skater success in developing stronger basic skills on the ice.

Millions of Canadians, including World and Olympic figure skating champions and National Hockey League stars, have taken their first steps on the ice with the CanSkate program. Offered at clubs and skating schools across Canada and delivered by NCCP coaches, CanSkate will help you realize your skating goals.

VOLUNTEERING FOR OUR CLUB IS MANDATORY.  YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN UP FOR ONE OF OUR VOLUNTEER POSITIONS WHEN CHECKING OUT.

The Innisfail Skating Club is a non-profit organization run and managed entirely by volunteers—our ISC executive board and the parents of our skaters. At the start of each new season (Fall and Winter), we kindly ask families to participate in club activities through fundraising and other assigned tasks.  The raffle tickets are a mandatory purchase of $100.00 upon registration for Fall and Full Season only.

  • Fall Season (October to December) requires 5 credits per family. Required to sell 10 raffle tickets = 5 credits.

  • Full Season members require 10 credits per family - Required to sell 10 raffle tickets = 5 credits plus volunteer at our Competition: Skating With Heart (February 13, 2027) or our Ice Show (March 14, 2027), one 2-hour shift = 5 credits

  • Winter Season (January to March) require 5 credits per family – Required to assist at our Competition (February 13, 2027) or our Ice Show (March 14, 2027), one 2-hour shift = 5 credits

Please note: This is a mandatory requirement for all members.

When selecting a volunteer position, please select the volunteer position for which your child is designated.  Those that do not have a program in the title are open to anyone.

Please note: If our system detects more than 30 minutes of inactivity on the registration site, your registration spots will no longer be reserved, and you will need to begin again.
